TextbooksIs your college textbook accurate? According to a recent report, there are 109,263 errors found in textbooks for elementary math students.

Can you imagine how many errors are found in textbooks for college students?

If you’re ever concerned about the amount of errors on your textbook and want to fix them, just check out the errata pages on the individual authors’ websites. Any spelling, grammatical, or factual errors are often addressed there. In addition, if you spot an error, most professors and writers accept (and would appreciate) your feedback, so it’s encouraged to communicate with them in the event that you discover something.

Better yet, bring it up as a basis for discussion in your class. This is a great way to network with your professor and build up a relationship. Being extra observant does have its benefits, and by taking that to the next level, you can establish some excellent relationships that are memorable. Consider that many students don’t bother pointing out these things, so it will make you more memorable in a sea of thousands of students. Since networking is super important, this is a great way to get on the ball.
